Alex Michaelides is a British-Cypriot author and screenwriter best known for his internationally best-selling novel, “The Silent Patient”. Born in Cyprus to a Greek-Cypriot father and an English mother, Michaelides moved to England when he was a teenager. He studied English literature at Cambridge University, followed by a postgraduate degree in screenwriting from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles.
